Calligram Project
For the second project, I decided to create a calligram themed to my favorite video game character: Bayonetta
I made a few adjustments to my pen tool trace, such as filling in her hair to make it filled with text as opposed to only using line text. I also used different text sizes to create a sense of depth of the image, like in her eyes for example. The logo was probably the most fun to put element to fill with the song lyrics.
The calligram was super fun to make. I will go over a little bit of the process I went through the create it. I began by importing a sketch I drew of Bayonetta over winter break into a new Adobe Illustrator file:
I then used the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator to trace my original sketch.
I had to then figure out what to fill the lines in with for text. It didn't take me long to think that the lyrics to the song Fly Me To The Moon would be the perfect fit, since a cover of Fly Me To The Moon is Bayonetta's theme song in her first video game.

This was the first calligram I have made, and I hope to create many more in the future. It was a really cool project!
